Write&Cite is built by the team behind Alekhni, a research ecosystem for students. We think a lot of edtech optimizes for the wrong thing: getting the assignment done fastest, instead of making the student capable of doing it without help next time.
Why we exist
Research and citation are teachable skills, not just steps to skip. Every part of the product is built so the student does the actual thinking; we just make the unglamorous parts (formatting, tracking sources, versioning) not painful.
Why teachers are a first-class user
We'd rather give a teacher a real trail of drafts and reasoning than ask them to trust a black-box originality score. Trust should be earned with visibility, not a number.
